The Underground

There's the London we all know.

And then there's the Underground. The real Underground, a secret world of supernatural forces and strange creatures that walk the city streets hidden in plain sight. Witches, vampires, werewolves. Shapeshifters and humans with extraordinary powers. Ghosts. And the Other Realm, where the fae dwell, and where magic leaks out into every corner of the city.

While the parties of Westminster fight their political battles, there is another much more dangerous power struggle going on. It's a battle for territory, and it is fought by the various supernatural factions that claim dominion over the city.

Will peace prevail? Or is conflict inevitable? Let the story begin...

About the Game
The Underground is an alternate universe (AU) game set in a supernatural version of modern-day London. The game is a mix of urban fantasy and supernatural drama, with slice-of-life elements and political intrigue.

Player characters will join various supernatural factions vying for territory within the city. Choose your allies, build up your empires and make your move. The actions of player characters will determine who comes out on top in the fight for power.

You've been living your life up until this point, blissfully unaware of other worlds and places. You go from day to day, doing whatever it is you do, whether you're a villain, a hero or just an average joe. Then one night you go to sleep, it's not any different from any other night but you have a very vivid dream. You're sweaty, panting, moaning, writhing against another body. Erotic, sensual, you're completely free and fresh with wanton abandon. Maybe this isn't something you usually do, maybe it's what you always do. Whatever the reason, the dream is pleasant and makes you feel good, more than good. You want to stay in this dream forever, completely blissed out and hungry for more, if you can get going again.

Then you wake up, you feel at peace, and content. There's sun dripping into your eyes, but you're shaded by trees is what you first notice. All around you are the call of birds and other animals, all vying for each others' attention. Soon as you wake up some more, you set into a panic, this isn't where you went to sleep last night. Far from it infact. This looks like some kind of weird forest, well, not weird but it doesn't look like any forest you've seen before... it looks more like a melding of different types. The point is... where are you? There's no way your body just up and walked out into the middle of no where. You look toward your left and large hand woven basket with hygiene inside and flowers, then attached is a letter.

Dear Creature,
You may be asking yourself. Where am I? That's a very good question. I am unable to answer that at current. What's more important is that you learn to survive in this world.

Firstly, there is a goddess, her name is Celeste and she is the god of this plane of existence. Worship her and you will find yourself in good hands. Blasphemy against her, and find yourself cursed. You only get a few chances before she punishes.

Secondly, there are homes not far from where you currently are, in villages. There is Village West and Village South, whichever you choose is yours for the taking. There are pleasantly comfy cottages to choose from but you may end up with a roommate, so hopefully you will get along.

Thirdly, there is the town. It is open 24 hours on Thursdays and Saturdays but the remaining five days it's closed. It has many items you can grab but you can only have ten at a time.

Fourthly, the island has many resources from you to draw from. You will find that you feed and take care of yourself easily, but will have to work for it a little bit.

Fifthly, you have a communications device in the basket it. Use it to communicate with those on the island.

Sixthly, You must have sex weekly. It's do or die if you don't. Rather that is with multiple partners or a single partner, it doesn't matter. You must have sex to keep the hideous monsters from fully attacking the island and villages. Putting out sexual energy keeps them to a minimum. The goddess needs this sexual energy for reasons unknown even to us.

Lastly, make the island your home. We know it's not favorable by any means but you really have no choice in the matter. And no, we don't know when we can return you to your world, so it's best you make due.

Regards,
The others

PARADISE KISS - Is a smut panfandom roleplay. It's a little of survival horror in the case that monsters attack at the end of each week, but can make it minimal effort to defeat them of sexual energy is a major output through out the week by the characters. It's also very slice of life as well.

The Agents of the Warehouse have been tasked with keeping the world safe from dangerous Artifacts. They travel the world, searching for these objects with mystical powers, and bring them back to the Warehouse for safe storage. Unfortunately, not everyone believes Artifacts should be tucked away and out of the hands of the general public. And some wish to take down the Warehouse altogether.

An Artifact has been broken in two – on accident or on purpose, the Agents haven’t yet figured out. What is clear is that when the Artifact was broken, it tore a hole in the barriers between this reality and all the other universes that exist.

In its broken state, this Artifact has started pulling people from their universes into this one. Innocent lives, ripped from their home, out of space and out of time, with no way back until the Agents find the missing half of the Artifact and make it whole again.

Worse, it seems someone is bent on making not only the Agents’ lives difficult, but the lives of all these people now in the Agents’ care as well. The Agents are scrambling to find the broken part of the Artifact and fix the tear between universes. They are doing all that they can, but it might not be enough.

To all those the Artifact has pulled to this universe, let us just say: Welcome to the Warehouse.

THE ENDGAME

opening november 1st!

Armageddon. Apocalypse. End of Days.

You have all heard the words used before. Some of you might even know the lore. None of you, however, expected it to go down quite like this.

The world is in the process of dying. Disease and destruction ravage the land. Cities lie in ruins and entire civilizations have fallen virtually overnight. Humanity is becoming an endangered species with each passing day.

Don't worry, though, it's all going according to plan. What plan, you might ask? Why, God's plan, of course. Granted the instructions aren't always very clear and can be open to interpretation - wording really is funny that way - but the general concept is understood well enough. The two factions - Light and Darkness - will face off and, with the aid of an army, one side will be victorious while the other will be destroyed.

In short? Both sides are gearing up for the ultimate smackdown and have circumvented the walls of reality itself in order to bring in recruits to aid them in their ultimate victory.

So pick a side. Will you fight next to the Archangel Michael and help usher in a new Heaven on Earth? Or perhaps you're more comfortable following the Devil Himself into battle and ensuring your place as a king amongst captives when Hell takes over? Or maybe you're the risky type and want to stay neutral. Wait it out and see what happens. Whatever your choice, one thing is absolutely, crystal clear.

Once you've been recruited, you're here to stay. So choose wisely. Your future depends on it.

Welcome to the Endgame.

[The Endgame is a pan-fandom roleplay experience set in an Original Universe with heavy influence from the Christian concept of the end of times, with a significant twist. We have an over-arching storyline, with occasional moderator run subplots, and very much encourage player-based plots as well. All fictional characters are welcome, provided they fit into the overall concept of the game. The game is set to open on November 1st!]

A LiveJournal RPG

At a time of chaos in the the world following a series of bloody and violent wars spanning the globe, there are few places where true freedom is relished and supported.

La Paradiso happens to be one such place. A manmade island that floats off the coast of Italy. Roughly half the size of Sicily, La Paradiso is a resort destination known for its indulgence in all things hedonistic. Laced with sin at its very heart and more and more guests arrive every day to indulge in the unique experience that the island has to offer.

At the heart of all the fun, however, is a bitter struggle that rages between the founders and operators of the island and people who are desperate to see it shut down—preferably by force

All that glitters is most definitely not gold, however. There are rumors going around that not all of the islands guests are exactly "willing".

Most guests remain blissfully unaware of the struggle that occurs involving the island, but getting caught up in it is certainly possible.

Welcome to Alla Morte

Your characters have come to take a peaceful vacation on La Paradiso. Whether they like it or not.

Alla Morte is a multi-fandom and OC rp that allows characters from anime/manga, books, television, movies and video games as well as characters of your own making.

Gameplay starts on November 15, 2014 and we are currently accepting applications. Please feel free to take a look around and check out the important links below. Feel free to contact the moderators for any questions.

You awaken to what you believe could be the worst possible headache you've ever felt -- the blinding white that surrounds you is definitely not helping matters, either.

After what feels like several long minutes (which is really nothing more than a few seconds), you're able to manage looking around. You note that you're in a room of all white. This isn't where you remember falling asleep- actually, when did you fall asleep? The strange metallic taste in your mouth, as well as the odd buzzing in your ears, is doing nothing to clue you in.

The room contains nothing more than a bed, chair, and 5ft x 5ft box. The box contains the following:

-One change of clothing.
-One weapon (that you have no knowledge on how to wield).
-One bottle of water.
-One item from your world.
-A battery-powered device with...exactly 33% battery power remaining.

The most important item in the box appears to be the device. According to a rather cheerful voice, it seems to be the only way out of here. Not only that, but it says it's the only way you'll be able to transport from city-to-city. First things first, however...

What's with the incredibly strange thing attached to your ear?! No matter how hard you fight to remove it, all you're managing to do is make your head hurt more...

It seems there's really no point in trying to take it out. Begrudgingly, you drop your hand to your side and begin walking. After making your way out to some unique-looking hallways, you come to a stomach-sinking realization: you're, apparently, in a mostly-abandoned insane asylum. How rude.

Last you checked, you are perfectly sane, and have no reason to even be here!

Stranger yet, it seems all doors are unlocked and empty, save for one. No matter how hard you try, the door will not budge. The only clue as to what's inside the room, is the tiny sliver of window. Looking through the window, you're able to see a large...computer setup? You listen closely, but all you can hear is a lot of humming- wait! That sounds, suspiciously, like...whispering. You lean closer, pressing the ear that doesn't have the weird thing on it, as close to the door as possible. Ironically, everything in that room falls deathly silent...

As you make your way into an incredibly large and empty white room, the communication device speaks up. Loudly. It seems awfully eager to suggest three very specific numbers:

ONE, TWO, or THREE?

...What these numbers even mean? Well, no matter how many times you ask -- the stupid thing's now, completely, silent as it awaits...something...

Welcome to Purgatorio!

We are a panfandom, mostly-horror game that accepts nearly all levels of experience. The events will range from horror to complete "crack" (AKA comical). We will allow all levels of violence, and sex is going to be permitted (though, only with a proper rating of logs).

Outer space has never felt closer.

Los Angeles has been North America's hotspot for both supernatural and superheroic activity for decades now, but recently that reputation has extended far into the otherworldly. While the Alternian and Skrull empires continue to breathe down each other's necks while threatening an invasion from the cosmic territories surrounding Earth, the war of a robotic species called Cybertronians has come to its streets. CONDOR, the government organization tasked with handling these matters, juggles diplomacy with defense, while the citizens of LA are left to deal with living in this increasingly chaotic world.

If the threats from the outside aren't bad enough, there's plenty of home grown bad guys looking to make a mess. Not to mention, the insidious infection of the unknown lifeforms seemingly rising from the Earth's core.

You might have heard of Liber Omne Omnis, but probably not. You may have heard it called The Ominous Library. Either way, you find yourself standing in a gigantic library, filled with a thousand books. This is one small part of Libre Omne Omnis. Like many others before you, you've been drawn to Library that exists between all realities. The books on the shelves contain the stories and histories of every reality and almost every person who ever existed. New books appear almost every day, to be sorted and shelved by the Teachers, an order of scholars dedicated to knowledge and sharing it.

Don't worry. You can come and go, as you please. The books are not mere paper, filled with precious words. They are portals to the realities they tell about. Any world or reality you've ever heard of can be accessed from the Library. Wonderland, Narnia, Neverland? All of these are at your fingertips. Merely take up the book and go adventuring! Beware though. Some realms are sweet places, but others are not. For every Land of Oz, there is a Land of Mordor. The Librarian will not be pleased, if you come back to the Library with Cthulhu on your heels!

The Library itself is not entirely safe. The Librarian does his or her best, but the books are easily opened and not always from the Library side. An unwary Reader is likely to stumble across an infestation of tribbles or find a plate of cookies that say Eat Me. Consume unattended food and drink at your own risk. Some things, despite the best efforts of the staff, have taken up permanent residence in the Library. More than one ghost now haunts the shelves in the horror section. Strange plants, animals, and voices should be reported immediately. More than one person has gone home, after a few hours.

For those wanting to stay, the City of Liber provides free housing and the Library provides free meals and simple clothing. However, there is commerce in the city and every vendor will accept any known coin from the different realities. The people who find their way to the Library and the City of Liber are called Readers. Any Reader is free to start their own business, go to work for someone else, or simply spend their time adventuring.

Be warned! If you choose to engage in criminal activity, the Librarian is not a dusty person who puts away books. The office of Librarian exists to protect the Library and the City from anyone who would endanger it or the Readers. The Librarian is authorized to do whatever is necessary to keep the peace. You will get a trial, with a jury made up of Teachers, but Library justice is swift, if rarely fatal. If you get yourself into trouble in another reality, you are on your own, unless you can convince a friend to help you.

Upon entrance to the Library, every Reader is given a watch-like device, with a small video screen. The device can be used for audio, video, and texting communication. It works everywhere, no matter what the reality a person is in. The device also has a tracking device, making it easier to return to the Library. A Reader can still find their way back, without it, but it will be far more difficult and take more time. If you have any questions or problems, please speak with the Librarian.

Welcome to the afterlife! That's right, you're dead as dead can be. Your body's probably buried or burned or eaten or whatever happened to you back home, and now you're here. Stuck until you overcome whatever it was in your life that's keeping you going after death. Everyone has their own traumas, their own regrets, and their own thing to move past. The fact is, you're all stuck together in the same place: a strange high school, surrounded by inhuman things that those who used to be alive seem to call "NPCs" as though this were some kind of video game. They act like nothing's wrong, but you know the truth, and so do the other deceased around you. The worst part is that even in this place designed for you to make peace with your life and to move on peacefully, it seems like something's gone wrong. Something's gone very wrong.

There are shadows. Amongst the average school life, it seems like these shadows are the exact opposite of average. If they touch you, if they take you that's it. You're screwed, and you're going to become just like one of those NPCs until someone finds a way to get you back. With a mysterious man known only as the Programmer and a reprogrammed NPC operating the Angel Player system with what's very clearly not the best interest of the rest of the humans in mind, how will you overcome the new trials of the afterlife? Will you fight? Will you give in? Or will you just try to stick to that normal life you always wanted?

[community profile] afterliving is a roleplay inspired by the world of Angel Beats! Set in the afterlife, characters will meet other dead people and come face to face with their own mortality whilst trying to save themselves and others from a new threat. Society Cannot Survive Without Gossip and Rumors
Do you know what happens four years after a community finally stops being at war? No one is hiding. No one is just fighting to survive anymore. As people rebuild their lives, they find the foundation of life hasn't truly changed at all. People have friends, jobs, and lives. Now they just can relish in a sense of security they thought they may never have again.

Unexpectedly the generation emerging as adults now have the attention of those around them and, mainly, the attention of those reading the pages of the Witch Weekly. In truth, they have became almost celebrities in their own right in the community without their permission. Some acknowledge this status for themselves or their friends; others try to hide from it and keep their lives private.
In the aftermath, people seem to want to live a quieter life, but those who are watching from the outside don't always want to keep it that way. Those who were students are now adults, trying to build their own life outside of war and the hallowed halls of Hogswarts. But the social pages of the Witch Weekly have gotten more and more popular as the writer began to shine a spotlight on all many. Readers at least have decided to just embrace the new attitude in the media. Gossip is just right the corner at every turn for just about anyone.

With the spotlight on them, no one is safe from being written about in the gossip pages that seem to try to build scandal and rumors on anything they could find.

Now in the year 2003, will you try to hide from the light or embrace it?

In the course of one night, the superhero community was changed.

Only a few short months ago, three of North America’s most loved and respected heroes vanished in a seemingly innocuous investigation of a sinkhole in the Mojave Desert. They went in alone, and they never came back. The hole filled itself in almost as quickly as it had appeared, and left only small traces of a crystalline mineral, of apparently alien origin. Though the mystery has yet to be solved, the nation has mourned, and now life must go on.

The remains of the Alpha Force team look to refill their very prestigious membership. CONDOR is on a hunt for answers. Paranoia rises in the hearts of other heroes - if the Alpha Force could fail, how can they expect to persevere? And all the while, TRIDENT lurks in the depths of the Pacific Ocean, but are they responsible? Or will they just know an opportunity to strike when they see it?

If you get yourself into trouble in another reality, you are on your own, unless you can convince a friend to help you.

Upon entrance to the Library, every Reader is given a watch-like device, with a small video screen. The device can be used for audio, video, and texting communication. It works everywhere, no matter what the reality a person is in. The device also has a tracking device, making it easier to return to the Library. A Reader can still find their way back, without it, but it will be far more difficult and take more time. If you have any questions or problems, please speak with the Librarian.

Welcome to [community profile] contrivers.

[community profile] contrivers is a dressing room made exclusively for original characters - that is, characters who are not from a published series of any medium. No application is required to play here and you are welcome to bring as few or many muses as you like. This community is open to original characters of all sorts to include fandom original characters.

Your setting is simple: an average city with the usual accommodations known simply as Nexus. You have stores, arcades, schools, amusement parks and whatever else you might hope to find in a normal city. Whether your character is from here or some other place is entirely up to you. Keep in mind, this setting is generic, simple and completely ignore-able. For the sake of simplicity, this setting will not change regardless of what does or does not happen in your post.

Of course, you are welcome to set your posts in any setting you would like. Whether or not you would like a string of continuity from one post to the other is entirely up to you and your fellow players. Your posts may be open or they may be private, so long as you mark everything appropriately.
